archeology and the bible
Thank you for the opportunity to present to you a lecture series and discussions on Archeology and the Bible. Many have accepted the bible as inspired writings from God, the Creator, but are there evidences that exist to support the bible as accurate historical writings? There have been many historical documents found and translated that speak of a people, their traditions, their beliefs and will describe wars, cities and artifacts that are unique to that people. Does the same hold true for the bible?
Come share with us a great opportunity to explore, learn and discuss. We will have four uniquely qualified individuals that have specific and selected topics in this area. These four men will present on people, cities, nations and the evidence left behind for our careful review.
The first Sunday in October, 5 October 2008, we will have David Duncan of Orlando, FL. David is a scientist and engineer and works on state of the art technological devices. His background as a critical thinker lead him to study carefully the hype versus evidence with regard to claims made by many concerning the bible. He will speak specifically on:
(1) the beginning: Eden
(2) Flood
(3) How old is the earth? - really
